Quite Spectacular!

Happy New Year, Beautiful People!

Yesterday I got a manicure and pedicure.  I wasn't planning on getting one, wanting to save the money -- planning on giving them to myself.  But I had such a strong feeling that I was meant to go see the lady that helps me maintain my naturally super short nails and pretty, blue-toenailed feet.  Off I went, after a long day of errands and trekking-about with Overlord Protector #2 (my youngest son).

After hugs and well-wishes and finding out how Chi's recent vacation back home to Vietnam had been, we proceeded to my pedicure.  Little talking was to be had, as Chi scaled back my feet, and I sank into the post-apocalyptic world of "A Canticle for Lebowitz" (a must read).

When we moved over to my manicure, Chi shyly reached into her drawer and pulled out a fan to give to me.  Now I believe Chi is just as unfamiliar with the custom of not giving fans as gifts as she was clueless as to the Chinese script on the fan.  Those aren't the points.  The point is Chi said, "I have been waiting for you to come in.  I brought this back from Vietnam -- just for you.  You're always so nice."  I opened up the fan, lovingly examined it, and told Chi that I was so honored she thought of me on her trip home.  I told her she had brought joy to my heart -- for that she had.

Fanning the Flames of Love

I mentioned this to folks at the Face Place, but it bears repeating ...

As we move into 2014, I'd ask each of you to look inside yourselves to see if there is any unresolved anger or feelings of remorse with anyone in your lives.  If the answer is "yes" then think about making your New Year's "resolution" one of "peace of mind".  What can you do to bring peace into your life?  Does that involve allowing peace for anyone else?  Sometimes our own journey begins with acknowledging where we went wrong -- and doing all that we can to get back to our right path of peace.

Remember -- We're all connected.  Every you give you receive and more-often-than-not what you get back is quite spectacular!

Be a flame of love because you never know whose soul you'll warm along your journey.

Love & Light,
